Film, Photography and Video

Metro permits the general public to use hand-held cameras to take photographs, film, or video within public areas of Metro stations, transit centers, and transit vehicles for personal and non-commercial use.  For those who want to film, photograph or video for commercial use, or who need to set up tripods, lighting, or other equipment on Metro property, please fill out the form below.

Requests must be submitted at least ten business days prior to the requested date of the shoot.

Note: Confirmation emails may end up in your spam folder.

Please avoid shooting during peak times: 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This request form does not represent an automatic agreement between Metro and the requestor. Metro will review the request and script (if applicable) before approval is granted. Once the request has been approved, Metro must receive a signed indemnification agreement, certificate of insurance and advance payment, if required. 

All filming is at the discretion of Metro, based on safety and operational considerations. Scripts must be submitted in advance and approval will not be granted for derogatory content or content that demeans Metro or public transit in general. 
The filmmaker/photographer/videographer will not be permitted to make any alterations to the property and must clean the property and return it in the same condition at the end of the shoot.
