*Seniors, Children and Customers with Disabilities

Seniors are those customers aged 65 and over.
Beginning Wednesday, October 1 seniors who live in Illinois townships which are part of the St. Clair County Transit District and who wish to ride MetroBus and MetroLink for free must present an SCCTD senior pass to prove their eligibility. Those permits must be obtained from the District; customers with questions including where to obtain the permit may call the District office at 618-628-8090.

Seniors who live in Madison County, IL must use their MCT senior pass as of October 1 to ride MetroBus and MetroLink for free.

Other Illinois and all Missouri residents may continue to ride MetroBus and MetroLink services at the reduced rate by showing a Medicare card, a valid state vehicle driver’s license, valid state ID card, valid passport, or Metro’s Reduced Fare Card (Elderly) between October 1 and December 31, 2008.

Beginning January 1, 2009, ALL seniors must present either the new standardized Metro Reduced Fare Permit to qualify for the senior reduced fare (OR the SCCTD or MCT senior permit cards for free fares). Other current forms of identification will no longer be accepted.

Children are those aged 5-12, and proof of age may be requested (younger than age 5 ride free).

Customers with Disabilities must present either a Metro Reduced Fare Permit or Metro ADA Paratransit Permit to ride for the reduced fares.

MetroBus fare is purchased aboard MetroBus; exact cash fare is required. In addition, you may present a valid Pass or Multi-Use Transfer.

Metro Combo Pass

The Combo Pass is sold only at the MetroRide Downtown and MetroRide Clayton Centers. The Combo pass permits commuter parking at the Clayton Garage. The Combo pass is also accepted for full fare, without the $1.00 surcharge at Richardson Road in Jefferson County.
