Where You Can Purchase Your Fare

All Metro fare types can be purchased at either of our MetroRide Centers. Our Downtown Center is located inside America's Center at 7th & Washington in downtown St. Louis, and the phone number is 314-982-1495. Our Clayton Center is located at 232 S. Meramec Ave., Second Level (between Meramec and Central avenues at the Clayton MetroBus Transfer Center/MetroLink Station), and the phone number is 314-982-1574. Both Centers are open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. In addition, several Metro fare types can be purchased at many retailers (see list below), our online store, or at Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) conveniently located at each MetroLink station. As a reminder, some TVMs do not handle bills larger than $10. However, new TVMs in Missouri will handle $20 bills for large fare denomination purchases. For more retail vending outlets, please look at our list at the bottom of this page.

In addition, MetroBus fare can be paid aboard MetroBus, and as a reminder, exact cash is required on board. A valid Pass or Multi-Use Transfer is also sufficient to board MetroBus.

Current Transfers, Passes, or Tickets are required to board MetroLink. To validate your Pass or Ticket, use a Red Validating Machine located at the MetroLink platform. Simply insert your Pass or Ticket into the slot at the top of the red post. Upon request, be prepared to present your valid fare to a Fare Inspector. Passengers who board without possessing a valid Transfer, Pass, or Ticket may be issued a citation and be required to pay a court-imposed fine.

MetroLink offers a Downton St. Louis Ride Free Zone from 11:30 a.m.—1:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. During these hours, you can ride free on MetroLink in downtown St. Louis between the Union Station and Arch-Laclede's Landing MetroLink station.

Retail Vendors

The amount of available passes at each venue varies due to the amount ordered by the Vendor. Please call the Vendor first to make sure that they still have the type of fare media in stock that you need before traveling to the Vendor's location.
