Purchase Your Fare
You will need a current ticket, pass or transfer to ride MetroLink. Tickets and passes are available for purchase at Ticket Vending Machines located at all MetroLink stations. Cash and coin are accepted, as well as Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards at Missouri MetroLink Stations.
If your ride involves one trip on MetroLink, purchase a MetroLink One-Ride Ticket. It is good for two hours in one direction, on MetroLink only.
If you plan to use both MetroLink and MetroBus, purchase a MetroLink Two-Hour Pass. The MetroLink Two-Hour Pass gives you unlimited use of the Metro system on both MetroLink and MetroBus, in any direction, for two hours.
Metro One-Day Pass gives you unlimited use of the Metro system, on both MetroLink and MetroBus, for an entire day.

Time Stamp Your Ticket
Certain MetroLink tickets comes pre-validated with a time stamp, but some do not. Double check your ticket to make sure it has a time stamp, and if it doesn't, insert it in one of the red validation machines located at all MetroLink platforms.
Board Your Train
MetroLink operates two lines: the Red Line and Blue Line. The Red Line provides service between the stations Lambert Airport Terminal #1 in Missouri and the Shiloh-Scott Station in Illinois. The Blue Line provides service between the stations Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 in Missouri and Fairview Heights Station in Illinois.
Check the direction and line of the MetroLink train by looking for the red or blue headsigns located on the front and sides of the train cars.
Both lines stop at all MetroLink stations between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Fairview Heights MetroLink Stations. Transfer trains at Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station if you need to continue on another line.
Enjoy Your Trip
Once you have boarded, take a seat, watch for your stop and enjoy the ride. MetroLink Operators will announce each upcoming MetroLink station, and schematic maps are located in every car.
Remember, using radios without ear plugs, smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited on all Metro Transit vehicles.
