MetroLink Work Will Cause Delays for Some Passengers Tonight and Tomorrow Night

Dianne Williams
Director of Communications
314-982-1440

Crews will be working on the MetroLink system at two different locations tonight and tomorrow night (October 22 & 23) and that will cause delays for some passengers. The affected sections of the MetroLink system are:
• Between the College and Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Stations
• Between the Civic Center and Union Station MetroLink Stations

Trains will not operate in Illinois between the College and Shiloh-Scott Stations from 8 p.m. until the end of service October 22 and 23 (Monday & Tuesday) to accommodate ongoing track work. The St. Clair County Transit District will transport Red Line MetroLink customers by MetroBus from the College MetroLink Station to the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station. Westbound passengers should allow for 20-25 minute delays and eastbound passengers should expect 5 to 10 minute delays.

MetroLink will operate on a single track between the Civic Center MetroLink Station and the Union Station MetroLink Station from 8 p.m. until the end of service October 22 and 23 (Monday and Tuesday) so crews can conduct track maintenance. Blue Line trains will ONLY operate between the Shrewsbury MetroLink Station and the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station. Blue Line passengers may experience 10 minute delays and Red Line passengers may encounter 5 to 10 minute delays.
