Avoid Traffic Jams and Slippery Roads: Ride MetroLink

Return to Blog

MetroLink In Snow (1)

Are you tired of snow-covered roads making you late for work (or late getting home)? Ride MetroLink.

The weather hasn’t been too friendly to our roadways recently, and that’s led to area drivers getting caught in bumper-to-bumper gridlock and stressful, dangerous driving conditions. Fortunately, there’s a better way – there’s no traffic on the rails!

Ride and relax on MetroLink, and leave the white-knuckled driving and road rage to someone else. Here’s a quick guide on how you can avoid the frustration of winter driving on area interstates and use MetroLink to get to University City, Clayton, the Central West End, downtown St. Louis, the Metro East and other destinations throughout the region:

For more information on how to use MetroLink, visit metrostlouis.org or contact Metro Transit Information at 314-231-2345 or 618-271-2345.

Hey Justin! Thank you for your comment in connection to Metro services. Metro currently provides services to three major regions in the St. Louis region — St. Louis County, St. Louis city and St. Clair County in Illinois. These regions have asked Metro transit to provide MetroBus and MetroLink services. At this time, we do not operate Metro services in Jefferson County where the city of Arnold resides. MetroLink is an important investment, but also a mode of transportation that requires significant capital. Any services — MetroLink included — would first require a change in transportation services. As you said, Jefferson County already has a transportation agency in place.
