The Clark Avenue entrance to the Civic Center MetroLink Station will be closed for select periods Wednesday, July 5, Thursday, July 6, and Friday, July 7 and then all weekend Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9, to accommodate work for the Civic Center Transit Center construction project.

The Civic Center MetroLink Station will remain open and in operation, but there will be no access to the station platform from Clark Avenue at these times:

• Wednesday, July 5: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Thursday, July 6: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Friday, July 7: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. |  8 p.m. to midnight
• Saturday, July 8: ALL DAY
• Sunday, July 9: Midnight to late evening

MetroLink passengers who would normally use the Civic Center Station are encouraged to use the Union Station or Stadium MetroLink Stations during these periods.

Passengers can also use the west walkway between the Civic Center MetroLink Station platform and the Gateway Transportation Center. The walkway from the Gateway Transportation Center will remain open, and it will be the only way for passengers to access the Civic Center MetroLink Station platform when the Clark Avenue entrance is closed.

MetroLink service will not be impacted by the closure of the Clark Avenue entrance. The Clark Avenue entrance to the Civic Center Station is scheduled to reopen at the beginning of service on Monday, July 10.

The Civic Center Transit Center has been completely redesigned to provide passengers with a better transit experience.

The expansion to the transit center will triple the number of bus bays, which will allow MetroBus passengers to connect with 23 bus routes off on the property and off the street. The Civic Center Transit Center also will feature passenger restrooms, an indoor waiting area for Metro riders, digital boards with MetroBus arrival times, concessions, and on-site MetroBus and security personnel. Construction began in April 2016, and is scheduled to be completed in August 2017.
