Return to Blog

Construction work on the new Cortex MetroLink Station is ramping up for the summer opening and that means Red Line and Blue Line MetroLink riders should allow extra time for their evening and weekend commutes June 18-24.

Riders will be impacted by single track operations June 18-21 and MetroLink Station Shuttles will transport MetroLink riders on buses instead of trains June 23 and June 24 between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere, Central West End and Grand MetroLink Stations.

On Monday, June 18 through Thursday, June 21, from 8 p.m. to end of service, MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Grand MetroLink Station and Blue Line trains will only operate between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 MetroLink Stations.

On Friday, June 22 from 11:30 p.m. until the end of service, MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Grand MetroLink Station to accommodate construction work for the new Cortex MetroLink Station. Red Line and Blue Line MetroLink passengers may experience delays of 5 to 10 minutes during the single-track operation.

From the beginning of service on Saturday, June 23 to the end of service on Sunday, June 24, MetroLink Station Shuttles will transport passengers by bus between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere, Central West End and Grand MetroLink Stations.
