MetroLink operations and service frequency will be temporarily modified as our team works to address the damage to the transit system from the record rainfall and historic flooding in the St. Louis region in July.

See below for the latest transit service status and details on the impacts to service sustained during the storm.

Red Line MetroLink Riders

Red Link MetroLink trains are in service between the Lambert Airport and Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Stations, and are serving all stations along the Red Line in Missouri and Illinois.

MetroLink trains are operating on their weekend schedule seven days a week, with service every 20 minutes. However, due to a speed restriction for trains along some areas of the track, passengers may experience 10 to 15 minute delays.

Blue Line MetroLink Riders

MetroBus vehicle stopped at the MetroLink Station Shuttle location at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink StationBlue Line MetroLink trains continue to only operate between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Skinker MetroLink Stations. There is no Blue Line service east of the Skinker Station, and Blue Line trains do not connect to the Red Line at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station.

MetroLink trains are operating on their weekend schedule seven days a week, with service every 20 minutes.

Service in this area is being provided by single-car MetroLink trains.

Metro’s online trip planning tools and Transit app do not reflect special operations and station shuttles in place at Skinker, Forest Park and Delmar that are a result of the flood damage. If you are planning a trip from between Shrewsbury and Skinker to one of the stations only served by the Red Line at this time, please allow extra time for your trip.

To Travel Between Red & Blue Lines

To travel between Red Line and Blue Line MetroLink service, MetroLink Station Shuttles are transporting riders by bus between the Delmar Loop (Red Line), Forest Park-DeBaliviere (Red Line) and Skinker (Blue Line) Stations.

  • Red Line passengers traveling to Blue Line stations should exit the train at the Delmar Loop or Forest Park-DeBaliviere Stations and board a MetroLink Station Shuttle bus to the Skinker MetroLink Station. Then, board a Blue Line train to continue their westbound trip.
  • Blue Line passengers traveling to Red Line stations toward Lambert Airport or downtown/Illinois stations should exit the train at the Skinker Station and board a MetroLink Station Shuttle bus to the Delmar Loop or Forest Park-DeBaliviere Stations. Then, board a Red Line train to continue their trip.

NOTE: If you require elevator access, you will need to board/exit the bus shuttle at the Delmar Loop Station – see below.

For Riders Who Need Elevator Access

If you cannot easily use stairs or require elevator access, please take these steps to when traveling to Forest Park or when traveling between Red Line and Blue Line service:
