the salena/broadway stop on the 40 is extremely convenient for me (.5 block away), but nonetheless, i agree with it’s elimination. i have NEVER seen anyone else get on/off there, and it’s only a block or so down to the stop at Lemp.
up next…please eliminate at least 1/2 of the stops on the #30 on arsenal between Jefferson and Lemp.
I’ve just started catching the bus after 5 years and I was so grateful to find out that the #40 Broadwat bus let’s me off right by my job. There aren’t any other busses even near my job, only the Broadway. I also have 2 more co-workers that needs this bus as well. We would be totally out of a job if something happens to the Broadway bus. SERIOUSLY!!! Please reconsider eliminating the #40 Broadway bus for my livelihood sake. Thank You
Tia, we are definitely not eliminating the #40 Broadway, just evaluating some of the stops on the route. Do any of the stops listed affect you or your coworkers? I will send this to your email as well.
I just moved my house & non-profit organization to the community. There are three people in my household to which the #40 Broadway stop would hurt. The organization will also be attracting people from all over, specifically for neighborhood events, so it has the possibility of hurting more people. I’ve come to enjoy how the Jefferson/Broadway/Chippewa intersection has become a center for bus routes in all directions (#70, #11, #40, etc.)
I catch the #34 Earth City bus to work (and sometimes from work). I like the fact that it drops me off almost right outside of the building that I work in. Does eliminating the stop on lakefront affect the stops on Rider trail north? This is where I get on/off the bus for work.
I feel like the bus stops on the #40 Broadway were already to far especially between the Meramac and keokuk its like they are to far apart it needs to be a stop somewhere in the middle. It use to be one at Osage. I have 2 small kids age 1 and 2 and i hate having to walk all the way from one of those stop to go to Grace Hill and to the kids daycare at Mary Margret. Going north and south.
Thanks for your feedback Sasha. Let me talk to the planning department and see what we can do.
