Bus Stop Evaluation Program: #58 Clayton-Ballas
Return to BlogThe bus stop evaluation program continues with the #58 Clayton – Ballas.
Please note: this route is not being eliminated, but your feedback on specific stops is encouraged and greatly appreciated. Below is the new list of proposed MetroBus stops under consideration for removal from the following routes:
#58 Clayton Ballas
These stops are being proposed for elimination as part of Metro’s Bus Stop Evaluation Program to make the system more efficient, faster and allow for more improvements to existing bus stops.

NS – Nearside of the street-before you cross the street
FS – Farside of the street-after you cross the street
MB – Midblock after the street midway down
I do want to say that we are doing a better job in assigning buses on that route. The intersection at Spoede Road and Clayton Road is poorly designed. If a 40-foot bus is assigned to #58, then the bus driver who is stuck with the big bus has to fight the sharp turn there. And that is with the steering wheel turned all the way to the right as far is it will go. The #48 uses a 30-foot bus and it can handle much sharper turns.
