NS – Nearside of the street-before you cross the street
FS – Farside of the street-after you cross the street
MB – Midblock after the street midway down
If you have any questions or comments, please ask in the comments before, or email [email protected] with the stop location and route direction in the text of the message.
The images for the the #21 and #66 show up in RSS but not this web post. The urls for the images are incorrect. Remove “4356” from the image URLs.
I’m not running into the same problem, Herbie. Which OS are you using to view the post?
Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.
It’s a weird problem. I see all the images fine from the home page. When I go to this post, the urls for the two images I mentioned are mangled with the “4356/” right in the middle.
I think I have it fixed. Let me know if you still see a problem.
Some of the stops haven’t been moved in years because some remained in service ever since the days when the streetcars ran. In Toronto, they have some stops similar to ours that are still streetcar stops, but they have stop signs painted on the doors, so when the doors open, the motorists have to stop to let the streetcar passengers on or off.
The 21 Watson Rd. stops near my street – Blackthorn Lane and serves the east bound side of the street. Webster Gardens subdivision’s entrance is on Blackthorn Lane so it is a needed stop. However, the placement is dangerous as it is very near the edge of Watson Rd. and the shoulder abuts a drainage ditch. In the winter time it is impossible to traverse the weather to get to it.
I need #59 Dogtown that’s the only way I can get to Forest Park Community College and back CWE. I don’t understand why you would get rid of this bus when so many college students use this bus get to CWE and Forest Park and from Forest Park to CWE it’s crazy and not to mention that #59 Dogtown is the easiest way to get to Forest Park Community College from CWE as I stressed FPCC students that ride that bus like me NEEDS #59
Elaine,
We are not getting rid of the #59 bus route, just evaluating some of the stops along the route for removal due to little use, safety, or other issues. We definitely want to make sure that people like you and other students get to Forest Park Community College. Did you see a particular stop that you are referring to?
Also!!! Tuesdays and Thursdays it seems the #59 comes around 7:20pm and 7:30pm like today the bus came at 7:20pm when Thursday it came around 7:30pm what up with that and we need a bigger bus there because it right outside FPCC alot of people get on the bus there and it need more places for the riders to sit and wait. PLEASE DON’T GET RID OF THIS STOP!!! I know I said this in my last post but FPCC Students that ride the bus really need this stop we really do.
The #21 needs to be routed thru Crestwood Court (formaly Crestwood Plaza) because Watson Road is a bear to cross on foot for passengers traveling eastbound from the dying shopping center and also people coming from Sunset Hills has to cross Watson Road to get into the shopping mall.
#95 at Vandeventor, please do not get rid of the this stop. If anything put it NS instead of FS.
The one right outside of FPCC it has the main streeting for the bus then these two glass areas and nothing else. If you sit on the only bench thats there then you have to sit further away from the stop and I think that stop is Hampton & Clayton because it said that it will be at the stop at a certain time and won’t get there until 10, 20, or even 30 mins later and we are sitting or standing in the sun no where else to sit that is close so we can see the bus coming
I’m going to email you, Elaine, because I’m having problems imagining the layout of the area (though I am familiar with it and the stops around it.) I’ll email you and get clarification. Thanks!
