Metro Transit and its regional partners have embarked on the St. Louis Rapid Transit Connector Study, which is intended to identify new transit projects that will provide efficient, competitive and attractive transit service to more people and places in the St. Louis region. This study will identify and advance two transit investment projects for pursuit of federal funding. The study is a direct result of Moving Transit Forward, Metro’s long-range plan which identified some of the region’s corridors and their surroundings as potential opportunities to expand premium quality transit service: I-70, I-44, I-40 and I-55. Metro will engage the public throughout the project. The first round of public meetings will commence later this month.
