East Entrance to Union Station MetroLink Station To Temporarily Close

Return to Blog

Union Station Construction

The Clark Avenue entrance to the Union Station MetroLink Station will close for several months beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

MetroLink passengers will need to access the station and platform from the west by using the stairs and elevator at the station’s 18th Street entrance.

The temporary closure of the Clark Avenue entrance is necessary to accommodate a construction project at the street level as well as improvements near the platform at the Union Station MetroLink Station. The Clark Avenue entrance to the station is expected to reopen in early 2016.

Do you have an anticipated completion and reopening of the exit date for this?
    Thanks.

John, we anticipate the stairwell to reopen at the end of the month, beginning of February at the latest.

Matthew, you said “beginning of February at the latest.” It is now 2/15…there has been no sign of workers in the area for a couple of weeks, but the stairwell is still closed. When will it reopen???

        1. Matthew Hibbard says:

Work at the Union Station MetroLink Station is taking longer than expected. We’ll make sure we let you know when that stairwell reopens.
