Starting on Monday, January 30, the East Riverfront MetroLink Station in East St. Louis will be temporarily closed to allow Metro Transit crews to perform work at the station, including platform improvements and staircase replacement. The East Riverfront MetroLink Station is expected to be closed for at least two months to accommodate the construction work.

During the closure, MetroLink trains will not stop at the East Riverfront Station. The station platform will be closed and inaccessible to passengers. A free shuttle will be available for customers who need to travel to or from the East Riverfront Station. The shuttles will operate between the 5^th & Missouri and East Riverfront Stations every 20 minutes. Riders should look for signs at the 5^th & Missouri and East Riverfront Stations to find the shuttle stop.

Passengers who normally park at the East Riverfront Station to connect with MetroLink are encouraged to use the free Park-Ride lot at the 5^th & Missouri MetroLink Station for their commutes. The 5^th & Missouri Station is located at 150 North 6^th Street in East St. Louis, Illinois.
