Elevator Rehabilitation at East Riverfront Station Begins April 23
The elevator serving the westbound platform of the East Riverfront MetroLink Station will go out of service on Thursday, April 23, and will be unavailable for several months as part of an ongoing project to rehabilitate elevators at MetroLink stations in or near downtown St. Louis.
For anyone who requires an elevator to use the East Riverfront MetroLink Station:
- If you are traveling westbound to the East Riverfront station, do not exit the train at the station. Instead, please continue your trip to the Laclede’s Landing Station. From there, cross the center platform to board an eastbound train and return to the East Riverfront station to use the working elevator on the eastbound platform.
- If you are starting your westbound trip at the East Riverfront station, please use the working eastbound elevator and board an eastbound train to the 5th & Missouri MetroLink Station. From there, cross the center platform and board a westbound train to complete your trip.
- Please allow extra time for your commute during the elevator rehabilitation project.
For additional information or assistance, contact Metro Transit Information at 314-231-2345 (phone) or 314-207-9786 (text), available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can also use the Passenger Assist Telephones, which are located at all MetroLink stations.
This work is part of a multi-phase project to rehabilitate elevators in or near downtown St. Louis that have been part of the MetroLink system since it opened and are now more than 26 years old. Over the last two years, Metro Transit has completed rehabilitation of five elevators at the Union Station, Laclede’s Landing, Convention Center, 8th & Pine and East Riverfront MetroLink Stations. Rehabilitation work on the eastbound elevator at Convention Center Station and on the westbound elevator at 8th & Pine Station began in January 2020 and is currently in progress.
