Flashback Friday
Return to BlogWere you able to guess the location and date of today’s photo?
Today we look at a scene in Maplewood, specifically the corner of Sutton Avenue and Manchester Road looking east in the 1930s. The scene is just a few steps from the Hoffman LaChance Contemporary art gallery, where Metro’s Arts in Transit program will present MetroScapes 2015 tonight from 6-10 p.m. At the event, 10 posters created by local artists for MetroBus Shelters will be exhibited and available for sale at just $25 a pop!
This is the corner of Sutton Avenue and Manchester Road looking east. The picture is being shot from in front of what is now Tiffany Diner. Opposite was Katz Drug store. Diagonal was Maple wood Bank and across from the bank was Woolworth store.
Well done Richard!
