The 2015 GO! St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend is scheduled for this weekend (April 11-12). Here’s what you need to know if you plan to take Metro to any of this weekend’s events or will be riding MetroBus near any race venue.

On Saturday, April 11, a portion of 14th Street will close between Market and Pine beginning at 7 a.m. to prepare for the marathon. This will impact six MetroBus routes from 7 a.m. until the end of transit service:

Also on Saturday, the 5K Walk/Run will begin at 8 a.m. in Forest Park. Streets in and around the park will close from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. This closure will impact the #3 Forest Park Trolley.

On Sunday, April 12, street closures will begin early in the morning and last until 5 p.m. in downtown St. Louis and several surrounding areas. Twenty MetroBus routes will need to be rerouted at various times on Sunday, including:

Specific details and individual maps for reach reroute can be found in the Rider Alerts section of our website.

If you’re headed to any of this weekend’s events, you can avoid the road closures, traffic and parking issues by taking MetroLink or one of the MetroBus routes not impacted by the weekend events. Park at any of our 20 free Metro Park-Ride lots in Missouri or Illinois and take MetroLink to the Union Station MetroLink Station or Civic Center MetroLink Station, which are both within a few blocks of the marathon start and finish lines, or the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station for the events being held in Forest Park. Rember to remember to this weekend’s Rider Alerts before heading out.
