MetroLink Fare Survey Starts October 20
Return to BlogMetro will conduct its annual Fall MetroLink Fare Survey starting Saturday, October 20. The information collected during the survey will give us a better idea about how you pay your transit fares and what types of tickets or passes you use to ride the MetroLink system. That data will help support fare revenue analysis and smart card development.
Fare surveyors will be visiting all 38 MetroLink stations through November 16. They will be wearing badges that display the Metro logo along with either “Survey Supervisor” or “Surveyor” printed on them. Fare surveyors will also be carrying clipboards and wearing khaki or dark slacks and white, button-down shirts.
They will greet you as you enter the MetroLink platform and will observe the type of fare you are using to ride the light rail system (single-ride ticket, monthly pass, reduced fare, etc.), which will help our research and planning teams.
If you have any questions about the fare survey, please contact Customer Service by calling 314-982-1406 or 618-271-7879 or texting 314-207-9786, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
I ride the number 8 bus to MorganFord and Alma. I look on your website and found that the number 8 bus will only go to Bates and Morganford. There is alot of people that i ride with that need this bus to keep it the same way it is now.If this happens to change i will have to move . I am unable to walk all the way over to Loughborough and Gravois. I work evening shift and it i get off at 11 oclock and don”t get off the bus until 12 midnight.I have very bad arthritis in both knees and i don”t think it would be safe to walk home from Gravois and Loughborough if they change this route.I thought you was trying to improve the buses for the riders and not take away the buses. I rode the buses all my life and now the stress of you changing this route will affect me and other people in my neighbor. I will be at the Civic to discuss this matter on Novenber 8.
Victoria, thank you for providing your feedback regarding the Metro Reimagined draft proposal. As you aware, this is a draft and thus it can be changed. We are accepting feedback until the end of the year. We look forward to discussing the plan with you in great detail at the Civic Center Transit Center on November 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Under the draft proposal, parts of #8 Bates-Morganford will be replaced by new the #8 Shaw-Cherokee-Broadway. Portions of Russell, Morganford and the Holly Hills neighborhood will no longer be served due to low ridership. This route will offer 30-minute frequencies during most of the weekday.
