Metro will conduct its annual Fall MetroLink Fare Survey October 22 to November 13. Data collected during the survey allows Metro to evaluate how passengers pay their transit fare and what type of ticket or pass they use to ride, which supports fare revenue analysis and Gateway smart card development.
Fare surveyors will visit all 37 MetroLink stations over the next few weeks, and can be identified by badges that display the Metro logo along with either “Survey Supervisor” or “Surveyor” printed on them. Fare surveyors will also be carrying clipboards and wearing khaki or dark slacks and white, button-down shirts.
MetroLink riders will be greeted as they enter the platform, and surveyors will observe and document the type of fare (single-ride ticket, monthly pass, etc.) they are using to ride the system.
Riders with questions about the fare survey can contact Metro’s Customer Service Department at 314-982-1406 or 618-271-7879, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
