MetroLink trains will not operate between the Civic Center and 5th & Missouri MetroLink Stations on Saturday, January 16, and Sunday, January 17, and MetroLink passengers should allow extra time for their commutes that weekend.
Trains will not be able to travel through downtown St. Louis due to the demolition of the Spruce Street Bridge near Busch Stadium. MetroLink Station Shuttles will transport passengers by bus between the Civic Center, Stadium, 8th & Pine, Convention Center, Laclede’s Landing, East Riverfront and 5th & Missouri MetroLink Stations. Passengers traveling through the affected area should expect delays of 20 to 30 minutes.
The following stations will be served by MetroLink Station Shuttles. Metro will have personnel at all of these stations to assist passengers:
Red Line MetroLink trains will operate on the normal weekend schedules providing 20-minute service between the Lambert Airport Terminal #1 and Civic Center MetroLink Stations; and between the 5th & Missouri and Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Stations.
Blue Line MetroLink trains will only be in service between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Civic Center MetroLink Stations and will operate on the normal weekend schedule providing 20-minute service between those stations. Since Blue Line trains will not be operating in Illinois, Blue Line passengers will need to board Red Line trains all weekend in the Metro East.
Passengers will exit the trains at the Civic Center and 5th & Missouri Stations to board a MetroLink Station Shuttle to continue their trips. Customers utilizing the stations listed above where MetroLink trains will not be operating, will need to board a MetroLink Station Shuttle at the designated MetroLink Station Shuttle stop near the station.
MetroLink will resume normal operations between the Civic Center and 5th & Missouri MetroLink Stations by the beginning of service on Monday, January 18.
