MetroLink Passengers to be Shuttled by Bus June 23 – 24
Return to BlogWith the summer opening of the new Cortex MetroLink Station approaching, one of the last major pieces of construction is scheduled to be completed the weekend of June 23 and June 24.
To accommodate this construction, MetroLink trains will not operate between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere, Central West End and Grand MetroLink Stations that weekend so crews can finalize some of the rail system modifications.
From the beginning of service on Saturday, June 23 to the end of service on Sunday, June 24, MetroLink Station Shuttles will transport passengers by bus between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere, Central West End and Grand MetroLink Stations.
Riders traveling through this section of the MetroLink system should expect delays of 20 minutes or more. Metro employees will be at the impacted stations to assist passengers. Riders should look for the MetroLink Station Shuttle signs at each station so they will see where the shuttles will be picking up and dropping off passengers.
During that weekend, Blue Line trains will only operate between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Stations. Passengers will need to board a Red Line MetroLink train at the Grand MetroLink Station to continue their eastbound trips.
MetroLink service outside of the affected area will operate on the regular weekend schedule. MetroLink will resume normal operations by the beginning of service on Monday, June 25.
