MetroLink Riders to be Shuttled by Bus on January 20Return to Blog
MetroLink trains will not operate between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44, Sunnen and Maplewood-Manchester MetroLink Stations for several hours on Saturday, January 20, to accommodate maintenance work to the light rail system.
From the beginning of service until noon on January 20, MetroLink riders will be transported by bus shuttles between these Blue Line stations. MetroLink riders traveling through this section of the Blue Line should expect delays of 20 minutes.
MetroLink Station Shuttle signs are located at each station to denote where the shuttles pick up and drop off passengers, and Metro will also have personnel on-site to assist passengers.
To avoid delays, MetroLink passengers are encouraged to park their vehicles at the Meridian Parking Garage at the Brentwood I-64 MetroLink Station and board an eastbound MetroLink train. More than 700 free parking spaces are available at the Meridian Parking Garage, immediately adjacent to the Brentwood I-64 station.
Metro will be monitoring MetroLink platforms throughout the day and will add trains if needed. Also, Metro will have additional ticket vendors at the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 MetroLink Station, Brentwood I-64 MetroLink Station, Clayton MetroLink Station, North Hanley MetroLink Station, East Riverfront MetroLink Station and the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station to assist passengers.
MetroLink is scheduled to resume normal operations at the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44, Sunnen and
Maplewood-Manchester MetroLink Stations by noon on January 20.
