Rail maintenance work is scheduled on the MetroLink system next week, and that may result in short delays for some Red Line and Blue Line passengers.

To accommodate the crews, MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Union Station MetroLink Station and the Civic Center MetroLink Station starting at 11:30 p.m. through the end of service Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (August 18-20) and from the beginning of service until 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday (August 23 and August 24). Blue Line and Red Line customers may experience 5 to 10 minute delays.  

MetroLink will also operate on a single track at the Union Station MetroLink Station and the Civic Center MetroLink Station from 8 p.m. until the end of service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (August 21, August 22 and August 23). During these times, Blue Line trains will operate only between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station to the Shrewsbury Lansdowne I-44 MetroLink Station. Blue Line passengers may experience 10 minute delays and Red Line passengers may experience 5 to 10 minute delays.  

Westbound Blue Line passengers boarding between the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station and the Central West End Station should board a Red Line train to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station and transfer to a Blue Line trainat the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to continue westbound.

Eastbound Blue Line passengers traveling to Illinois who boarding between the Shrewsbury Lansdowne I-44 Station and the Skinker MetroLink Station will need to transfer to a Red Line train at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to continue eastbound. Eastbound Blue Line customers boarding between the Central West End Station and the Fairview Heights Station will need to board an eastbound Red Line train for their trips.
