MetroLink Work Scheduled August 5 – 10
Return to BlogUpdate (as of Aug. 6 | 4:55 p.m.) : MetroLink has cancelled single-track operations at the Stadium, 8th & Pine, Convention Center and Laclede’s Landing Station tonight (Aug. 6), Wednesday (Aug. 7) and Thursday (Aug. 6). Instead, MetroLink will operate on a single-track at Union Station and Civic Center MetroLink Stations from 8 p.m. until the end of service tonight, Wednesday and Thursday. Blue Line trains will ONLY operate between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Forest Park-DeBalivere MetroLink Stations.
MetroLink passengers may need to allow a little extra time for their commutes next week as maintenance and infrastructure work along the light rail system will require changes to MetroLink service.
On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (August 5, 7-8) from 8 p.m. to end of service, MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Union Station and Civic Center MetroLink Stations. During these periods, Blue Line MetroLink trains will only operate between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Stations.
- Westbound Blue Line passengers will need to board a Red Line train between the Fairview Heights and Central West End MetroLink Stations, and travel to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to transfer to a Blue Line train and continue their westbound trips.
- Eastbound Blue Line passengers will need to board a Red Line train at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to continue their eastbound trips.
- Red Line MetroLink passengers may experience delays of 5 minutes.
- Passengers should allow 10 minutes when transferring between Red Line and Blue Line trains.
On Monday through Friday (August 5-9) from 8 p.m. to end of service, and on Saturday (August 10) from beginning of service to 8 a.m., MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Brentwood I-64 and Richmond Heights MetroLink Stations to accommodate track maintenance. Blue Line customers may experience delays of up to 5 minutes. Red Line service will not be affected.
