MetroLink riders are encouraged to allow extra time for their commutes next week as maintenance work on the MetroLink system may result in delays for some passengers.
To accommodate crews, MetroLink will operate on a single track between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Maplewood-Manchester MetroLink Stations during the evening from October 24 to October 28, and throughout the day on October 29 and 30.
Additionally, to accommodate a training exercise for first responders, MetroLink trains will depart from the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 MetroLink Station FIVE MINUTES EARLIER than their scheduled times during the morning and early afternoon on October 24, 25 and 27.
On Monday through Friday (October 24-28) from 8 p.m. until the end of service, and on Saturday and Sunday (October 29 & 30) from the beginning of service until the end of service, MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44, Sunnen and Maplewood-Manchester Stations.
- Blue Line passengers may experience delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
- Red Line service will not be affected by this work.
On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (October 24, 25 & 27) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., eastbound Blue Line MetroLink trains will depart from the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 Station FIVE MINUTES EARLIER than their scheduled times, and westbound Blue Line trains will arrive at the station up to five minutes later than their scheduled times to accommodate a fire department training exercise.
- Only MetroLink schedules at the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 MetroLink Station will be impacted by the training exercise.
- Trains will operate on their normal schedules when serving all other MetroLink stations.
