For Javon, Metro Transit is the easiest way to get to work each day.

To do that, Javon leaves his house and catches the #4 19th & Central – ML King MetroBus route, which takes him to the 5th & Missouri MetroLink Station. From there, he rides the train to the Belleville MetroLink Station, from where it is a short walk to work.

“Right now, I can’t afford a car,” he said. “Metro saves me money and saves me time.”

Javon has been using Metro Transit for years and knows that it may be a little cumbersome for new riders, especially when it comes to paying your fare.

“Make sure you know how much everything costs before you board,” he said. “I would have loved to have known that.”

But it didn’t take Javon long to get the hang of it, and now he uses MetroLink and MetroBus five days a week.

“Metro gets me where I need to go,” he said.
