Passenger Profile: Joel

Joel has been depending upon Metro Transit for one year. He utilizes MetroBus and MetroLink to get to and from home, from both his jobs every day, and to go to the special events happening around town.

Joel rides the #10 Gravois-Lindell and the #30 Arsenal MetroBus routes, both of which offer enhanced 30-minute frequency service under the new Metro Reimagined Service Plan.

In addition, Joel also rides the #11 Chippewa bus route, which provides high-frequency service, operating every 15 minutes under the service plan.

Joel knows and enjoys the benefits of taking Metro Transit. He said, “I save money. I don’t have to worry about buying gas for my car, driving from the county, fighting traffic or trying to find parking in downtown every day.”

“I can get a lot of work done on MetroLink and MetroBus. By the time I get to work, I have checked all my emails, which takes up a lot of time,” Joel said. “I can just sit down and enjoy the ride.”

Another cool thing Joel said he loves about his trips on Metro Transit is that, “All the drivers are very friendly. I have never had an unfriendly driver since I’ve been riding!” He also said, “The operators often go above and beyond to help customers in many ways.”

Joel also shared a little advice for a first-time or newer customer: “If a customer is confused or is lost, they should just ask the operator. They are the ones that can help them get to where they need to go and that’s awesome.”
