Passenger Profile: Wanda
Return to BlogWanda is a long-time Metro Transit rider, and is one of the first to try out the region’s new on-demand service – Via Metro STL – to help her get to work in Fenton. Check out our Q&A with Wanda below, and click on the image to see her passenger profile interview.
- How long have you been riding Metro?
I’ve been riding Metro for about 20 years. - What do you like best about Metro Transit?
I like the #11 (Chippewa). They (bus operators) are accurate, they are appreciated, they are going through a lot of work, they are dealing with COVID-19. They are on time, and when it is hot or when it’s cold, they let us sit on the bus. They joke and talk to us. - What do you like about Via Metro STL?
They are friendly, they are accurate, they pull up and tell you their name, they get you there in one piece, and they appreciate you. - What do you like most about the bi-state region?
I love it. I was born in St. Louis, but raised in Compton, CA. And if I had to do it all over again I would always be a Show-Me State person. I love it. I can pay my rent, I love where I work in Fenton, I love the people, I just love it…I love everyone. I’m treated with respect out here. - Do you have advice or tips for someone who is new to the system?
Call Metro’s phone number and get direction before you venture out — just call Metro’s hotline or email them. Get in touch with them before you venture out. There’s a lot of new changes that you might not know about.
