Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon Series This Sunday
Return to BlogParticipants and spectators for the third annual Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon Series this Sunday, October 27, 2013 are encouraged to take Metro public transit to the event to avoid the numerous street closures in downtown St. Louis. Three MetroLink stations are located within a few blocks of the starting line (Market Street west of Tucker) and the finish line (Chestnut and North 15th Street)—the Civic Center Station, Stadium Station, and 8th & Pine Station. MetroLink schedules can be found on our website. Various MetroBus routes also serve the Civic Center Station.
The event will have a major impact on MetroBus routes in downtown St. Louis, midtown St. Louis near the Fox Theatre, and Tower Grove Park area and points in between. The Grand MetroLink Station will be OPEN but will not be served by the #70 Grand MetroBus route Sunday morning. Passengers will need to board buses at the Central West End MetroLink Station from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Since so many streets will be closed to accommodate the runners, 20 MetroBus routes will be rerouted. MetroBus customers should allow extra travel time for their commutes Sunday to allow for the detours. The reroutes are:
The #99 Downtown Trolley will not be affected during the event.
