Take Metro to the Veterans Day Parade & Events Tomorrow
Return to BlogVeterans Day is Tuesday, November 11, but tomorrow St. Louis will honor all its veterans who have served over the last 250 years during a parade and other special events at the Soldiers Memorial Military Museum.
The celebration begins at 10 a.m. with the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America playing patriotic music followed by the Veterans Day Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. There will also be a Veterans postage stamp dedication, military displays, patriotic music and food.
Then at noon, the parade steps off with the Massing of the Colors at Soldiers Memorial at Tucker and Chestnut, west on Chestnut to 14th Street, south on 14th Street to Market, west on Market to St. Louis Union Station at 20th Street.
You can take MetroLink to the Civic Center MetroLink Station for easy access to the parade route (map below). MetroBus is another option with more than a dozen MetroBus routes serving the Civic Center Transit Center.
Several MetroBus routes will be rerouted due to the parade. Those routes include the: #4 Natural Bridge, #10 Gravois-Lindell, #11 Chippewa, #30 Soulard, #32 M L King-Chouteau, #41 Lee, #94 Page, #97 Delmar and the #99 Dowtown Trolley.
