Your Guide to the September 3rd MetroBus Quarterly Service Changes

Return to Blog

The quarterly MetroBus Service Change will go into effect on Monday, September 3, 2012. Some of the changes are the result of time adjustments to better improve connections and route performance at the request of our customers and operators. Several MetroBus routes involve both time adjustments and route changes. We’ve included links to the Metro website for schedules, maps and turning directions where appropriate for each line service change.

Details of the service changes with schedules, maps and turning directions are as follows:

  •  #2 Red Line: Rescheduled with running time adjustments on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays to provide better schedule adherence. Schedules.
  • #11 Chippewa: Rescheduled with running time adjustments on weekdays to provide better schedule adherence and better connections at the Shrewsbury MetroLink Station. Schedules.
  • #16 City Limits: Route change, buses will no longer serve Plymouth, Etzel and Hodiamont due to buses no longer able to negotiate the narrow streets. Schedules, Map, Turning Directions.
  • #21 Watson Rd: Rescheduled on Saturdays and Sundays, from 5 p.m. to midnight, to provide better connections at the Shrewsbury MetroLink Station.  Schedules.
  • #27 North County Shuttle: Route change and running time adjustments.  The V.A. Home on Highway 367/Lewis & Clark will be served from Old Halls Ferry via I-270 and Hwy. 367. 1. Grand Rider says:

I rode the 70 Grand bus for more than three years, took a year off (mainly to ride my bicycle) and am not riding it again. It is still as crowded as ever! Are there plans to add more buses to increase the frequency of the route in the near future? It is particularly crazy at peak hours (7am to 8am and 5pm to 6:30pm). A bus or three added during these times would really go a long way. MANY times I have seen a lady with kids turned away because the bus was too full. I am pretty sure this is not a typical problem for the rest of the system’s routes, but along Grand we are good transit riders! 🙂

  2. The increased weekday evening frequency for the #95 is very welcome. Thank you, Metro!

  3. I’m having some issues related to how I read the new bus schedules and maps in pdf’s when it comes to quarterly service changes that Metro in St Louis makes…my concerns and complaints that bothers me the most is that I don’t see schedule covers for Metrobus and Metrolink in pdf’s….is there a way for Metro to come up with a solution?
