Projects Which May Impact Your Commute
No Weekend MetroLink Service Between Union Station and Stadium | October 25 & 26
MetroLink will not operate between the Union Station and Stadium MetroLink Stations on Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26, to accommodate track maintenance work. During this period, MetroLink Station Shuttles will transport riders by bus between the Union Station, Civic Center and Stadium Stations. Riders traveling through this area are encouraged to plan ahead and allow an additional 30 minutes for their commutes to avoid delays.
MetroLink trains outside of this area will operate on regular weekend schedules, and Blue Line MetroLink trains will only operate between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Union Station MetroLink Stations due to the maintenance work. MetroLink will resume normal service on Monday, October 27.
Single-Tracking Schedule (October 20 – 24): On Monday through Friday evenings from 6 p.m. to end of service, MetroLink will operate on a single track between the Union Station and Civic Center MetroLink Stations due to construction work at the Union Station tunnel.
Metro is conducting necessary maintenance work on tunnels used by MetroLink near Union Station. To facilitate construction, Metro has scheduled single-track operations during which Blue Line trains can only operate between Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station.
During these scheduled single-track operations, riders should expect to transfer between Blue and Red Line trains as needed at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station. Red Line passengers may experiences delays of 5 minutes. Riders should allow extra time when transferring.
Metro expects work on the Union Station Tunnel to continue until Winter 2028 but does not expect single-tracking operations will be needed for the entire project. Metro will share an update once it has scheduled an end to single-tracking operations. Learn more about how Single-Track Operations work and why they are a necessary tool for Metro.
