Getting a Replacement Reduced Fare Card
If you currently have an ADA Paratransit Card (Call‑A‑Ride Card), a Fixed Route Reduced Fare Card, or a Senior Reduced Fare Card, please fill out this form to get a replacement card that is compatible with the new fare validators. Reduced Fare Programs
Seniors (aged 65+), customers with disabilities, and customers who possess a Medicare ID are eligible for a Reduced Fare Permit to enjoy a price break when riding Metro.
Senior Reduced Fare Permits
A Senior Reduced Fare Permit allows seniors (age 65 and older) to ride MetroBus and MetroLink for half price. You can obtain your permit through the Transit Access Center. Contact ADA Services at 314.982.1510 or adaservices@metrostlouis.org to get started.
To get the permit, you will need to have a government-issued picture identification card verifying your age (age 65 and older). Acceptable forms of identification include a state vehicle driver’s license, state ID, passport or alien registration card.
Illinois Residents
Illinois residents who are 65 and over, or those with disabilities who are living in selected townships in Madison County, Illinois and St. Clair County, Illinois, can ride Metro at either a reduced fare or for free thanks to special transit funding provided by the State of Illinois. Please contact Madison County Transit or St. Clair County Transit District for more information about these options.
Reduced Fare for Individuals with Disabilities
Metro also offers reduced-fare rates to qualified individuals with disabilities who use MetroBus, MetroLink or Metro Call‑A‑Ride services. For more information, please contact ADA Services at 314.982.1510 or adaservices@metrostlouis.org.
On The Way With ADA
- Metro Transit’s On The Way With ADA program provides qualified paratransit customers with free rides on MetroBus and MetroLink.
Illinois Residents
- MCT ADA Paratransit Fare Free ID — issued by Madison County Transit and good for free rides on MetroBus and MetroLink in St. Clair County (IL) and half fare on MetroBus and MetroLink in Missouri.
