On Monday, September 30, Metro will introduce the new Metro Reimagined service plan for the St. Louis region, which will make changes to every MetroBus route in Missouri.

While this new plan will provide more frequent service, more weekend service and more convenient options throughout the region, we know for some of our customers, the changes to the MetroBus system mean you will no longer have service to the bus stop you are currently using.

If Your Bus Stop Will No Longer Being Served

There are options available to help you navigate the new MetroBus service being introduced on September 30 if service to your bus stop will be discontinued.

Connect With a Transit Expert

Although your current bus stop will no longer being served, you may have access from a nearby stop to one of the 10 new high-frequency routes or 35 local routes that offer more frequent and more direct service.

Contact Metro Transit Information. One of our transit experts can explore all of the options available to you and help you plan a new transit commute using the new system.

Try the New System for Free Compliments of CMT’s Try & Ride Program

Metro has partnered with Citizens for Modern Transit to let you try the new MetroBus system for free to help you manage the adjustment to a new bus stop or a new transit commute.

Citizens for Modern Transit is extending its Try and Ride program to all MetroBus riders who will no longer have service at their primary bus stop or bus route. The Try and Ride program will provide you with complimentary transit tickets for one month, giving you time to test and learn the new system and experience the increased frequency and new service options of the new MetroBus plan. In return, the program simply requires you to continue using MetroBus or MetroLink for one additional month at your own expense.

Metro Call-A-Ride

If mobility issues are preventing you from accessing the new MetroBus system, Metro Call-A-Ride may be an option for you. The Metro Call-A-Ride paratransit service is available to both the general public and to individuals whose disabilities prevent them from using fixed-route service, like MetroBus and MetroLink. The service is available by advance reservations, and passengers share their ride with other passengers in modern, wheelchair-accessible vehicles.

To get started, find out if you are eligible for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) service by contacting our ADA Services department at 314.982.1510. Check out our Accessibility Guide to learn more about Metro Call-A-Ride and accessible transit services.
