[ST. LOUIS, MO/April 8, 2026]  Hundreds of runners, walkers, families and spectators will be in downtown St. Louis and throughout the city on Saturday, April 11, for the Greater St. Louis Marathon. MetroLink is your best option for enjoying all of the fun and excitement without worrying about traffic, parking and navigating numerous road closures.

The Greater St. Louis Marathon’s full marathon, half-marathon, and 10K races all begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 11. The starting line for all of the races is on Market Street near Stifel Theatre. Runners and spectators can park their vehicles for free at any of 21 Metro Park-Ride lots located at MetroLink stations in Missouri and Illinois, purchase a $5 Day Pass for round-trip travel on MetroLink, and ride to the Union Station or Civic Center MetroLink Stations, which are both just south of Market Street and the race starting line.

MetroBus is another option with more than a dozen bus routes serving the Civic Center Transit Center, located just south of Market Street. However, MetroBus riders are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their bus commutes in St. Louis on Saturday due to numerous road closures and detours, particularly in downtown.
