RIDE ON, READ ON Metro
Return to BlogDo you love to read to pass the time on your transit commute? Well, we have some exciting news for you. You may now have access to ebooks and audiobooks at no cost to you.
St. Louis County Library is now offering the ePop Up Library.
The ePop Up Library gives you immediate access to popular digital books and audiobooks. Look for the QR code located on Metro Transit vehicles and at select MetroLink stations to start reading or listening. You don’t even need a library card to enjoy digital books and audiobooks. Reading materials are available for a seven-day period, making it convenient to finish a book or two during your weekly commute.
“One of the many benefits of riding transit is that you don’t have to sit behind the wheel in traffic. You get some time back for yourself, and with this new program, it’s never been easier to spend that time enjoying a good book while you ride,” said Charles Stewart, Chief Operating Officer of Metro Transit.
In addition to Metro Transit locations, St. Louis County Library is offering the ePop Up Library at other locations throughout the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, including St. Louis County Government Offices, Schnucks Stores, and St. Louis Lambert International Airport.
Imagine transforming your daily commute into a time of learning, relaxation, and discovery. Whether you’re into bestselling fiction, thought-provoking non-fiction, or engaging young adult (YA) titles, the ePop Up Library has something for everyone. Now through this special partnership, you have a digital library at your fingertips while riding on Metro.
Ride On Tip: Download items from the ePop Up Library for reading or listening offline, perfect for those moments when you don’t have internet connectivity.
