Transit Access Center Moving to North County Transit Center

Return to Blog

An exterior view of the North County Transit Center.Big news for our Transit Access Center: we’re moving to a new home at the North County Transit Center, and this move is good news for everyone we serve.

The new location puts our entire Transit Access Center team together in the same building, making it easier for riders to get what they need in one place. Access is improved for those arriving by Call‑A‑Ride or who need parking for their personal vehicle. There will be a consistent, on-site Public Safety presence, and we’ll also have more space to offer more on-site travel training and help our riders explore the full range of options available to them.

Important Transition Dates:

  • Last Day at 8th & Pine: Tuesday, May 12, 2026
  • Remote-only Service: Wednesday, May 13 – Friday, May 15, 2026
  • Grand Opening at NCTC (3140 Pershall): Monday, May 18, 2026

About the Transit Access Center

The Transit Access Center is where riders with disabilities or those aged 65 and older can access essential Metro services, including:

  • Travel Training Services: Our team works one-on-one with individuals and groups to help them get comfortable on MetroBus, MetroLink, and Via Metro STL. From learning specific routes to using the Transit App, we’re here to help. This program is provided at no cost to our riders.
  • Reduced Fare Permits: Seniors (65+) and riders with disabilities can apply for permits that allow them to pay half fare on MetroBus and MetroLink.
  • Call‑A‑Ride (ADA Paratransit) Eligibility: Riders whose disabilities prevent them from using fixed-route service independently can apply for Metro Call‑A‑Ride, our origin-to-destination paratransit service.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact ADAServices@MetroStLouis.org or call 314.982.1510.
