Effective Date Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 6:30am until 4:00pm

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, starting at or before 6:30 am street closures will begin for the Greater St. Louis Marathon, the marathon will begin at 7:00 am affecting routes that service the   Downtown, Midtown, Soulard, Central West End, and Old North St. Louis areas.

REROUTE DETAILS:

Eastbound 
Regular route to Tucker and Convention Plaza 
Right on Convention Plaza 
Left on Jefferson
Left on Lafayette
Left on Truman Pkwy into 18th St.
Right on Clark 
Right on 14th St
Right into the Civic Center Transit Center to the assigned bus bay  
Westbound  
Departing from the Civic Center Transit Center
Left on 14th St 
Right onto the on-ramp onto Highway 64/US 40 Westbound
Remain in the right lane 
Right and EXIT 38B JEFFERSON
Right on Jefferson 
Right on Delmar
Left on Tucker into regular route

DETAILS:

Street and lane closures for the Greater St. Louis Marathon races and festivities will impact 13 MetroBus routes operating in St. Louis on Saturday, April 27, as well as the 8th & Pine Bus Shuttle that currently serves the 8th & Pine MetroLink Station, which is temporarily closed for construction work. The road closures will be in place starting at 5 a.m. on Saturday, and will remain until the races conclude late Saturday afternoon.

The closures will require the following 13 MetroBus routes to be rerouted:

#4 Natural Bridge
#10 Gravois-Lindell
#11 Chippewa
#19 St. Louis Ave.
#30 Arsenal
#31 Chouteau
#32 Dr. ML King
#40 N. Broadway
#41 Lee
#73 Carondelet
#74 Florissant
#94 Page
#97 Delmar

In addition, on Saturday ONLY, the 8th & Pine Shuttle will operate between the Convention Center and 8th & Pine Stations due to the marathon, instead of its normal route between Civic Center and 8th & Pine Stations.

Transit customers should allow more time for their bus commutes on Saturday when the race road closures are in place. The 8th & Pine Shuttle and affected MetroBus routes will return to their normal operations when the marathon races conclude.
