Food on the Move Partnership Continues to Serve Metro Transit Customers

Return to Blog

Metro Transit and the St. Louis Area Foodbank are continuing their partnership to help address food insecurity issues near two transit centers located in North St. Louis County. The mobile food pantry will continue to visit two Metro Transit Centers on designated Saturdays each month and on one Tuesday a month.

First Saturday of the Month
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Rock Road Transit Center in Pagedale (Located at 7001 St. Charles Rock Road)

Third Saturday of the Month
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. | North Hanley Transit Center (Located at 4300 Hanley Road, St. Louis, MO)

Third Tuesday of the Month
2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. | Rock Road Transit Center in Pagedale (Located at 7001 St. Charles Rock Road)

The St. Louis Area Foodbank Food on the Move mobile pantry offers transit customers, area residents, and visitors fresh, healthy food for themselves and their families, free of charge. With rising food costs and children being out of school soon for the summer, the free food will help household budgets stretch a little further. The Food on the Move mobile pantry is equipped with refrigerators and can provide fresh and shelf-stable food items. The pantry is accessible by both ramps and stairs. The partnership between Metro Transit and the St. Louis Area Foodbank was formed several years ago as part of a pilot program to bring healthy food choices to transit areas in food deserts.
