We’re gearing up for another weekend of fun festivities, and this time with smiling green faces! This weekend is only the start of the traditional St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the bi-state area, and you should expect streets in downtown St. Louis to be filled with people, vehicles, and road closures. Use Metro to get to your St. Pat’s Day celebration and navigate around crowded neighborhoods and traffic headaches.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade Run | Saturday, March 14 | Downtown St. Louis
The 48th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Run will take place on Saturday, March 14, at 9 a.m. The race begins at the intersection of Broadway and Walnut, and travels the streets of downtown St. Louis. Runners and spectators can ride MetroLink to the Stadium Station– just steps from the starting line.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Saturday, March 14 | Downtown St. Louis
The 57th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 14, at noon in downtown St. Louis. It begins at the intersection of 20th and Market in downtown St. Louis, and proceeds east to Broadway and Clark.
MetroLink Connections: Union Station, Civic Center, Stadium or 8th & Pine MetroLink Stations (all near parade route)
MetroBus Connections: Any of more than a dozen MetroBus routes serving the Civic Center Transit Center (located two blocks south of parade route)
St. Patrick’s Day Block Party | Saturday, March 14 | Belleville, Ill.
On the on other side of the river, you can celebrate all things Irish with friends and family in downtown Belleville. The block party kicks off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 14. You can enjoy live music, DJ’s, food trucks, vendors, and the Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run and Parade.
Metro Connection: Ride MetroLink to the Belleville MetroLink Station, and then board the #1 Main Street-State Street or #16 St. Clair Square MetroBus to reach the festivities on main street.
Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival | Tuesday, March 17 | St. Louis’ Dogtown neighborhood
If you’re looking for a celebration ON St. Patrick’s Day, the Annual Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival is a St. Louis tradition. The outdoor Irish festival starts at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, followed by the parade at 11 a.m. along Tamm Ave.
