Take Metro to the St. Louis Cardinals Home Opener
Return to BlogMetro Transit is your ticket to convenient, easy access to get to Opening Day festivities in downtown Thursday.
Lots of baseball fans will be heading downtown for the St. Louis Cardinals home opener game at Busch Stadium. With rallies and special events planned throughout the day, Metro is a great option, not only for baseball fans, but for workers who want to avoid traffic, road construction and parking challenges.
Leave your car at any one of the 21 free Park-Ride lots located at MetroLink stations in Missouri and Illinois, purchase a $5 round-trip MetroLink ticket and ride to the Stadium MetroLink Station to get to Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village. You can also take MetroLink to one of the other downtown MetroLink stations to enjoy pre-game rallies and activities.
MetroBus is another option for getting downtown to enjoy Opening Day. Catch the #40 North Broadway or #99 Downtown Trolley routes, which both have stops near Busch Stadium, or ride on any one of 19 MetroBus routes to the Civic Center Transit Center, which is located a few blocks west of Busch Stadium.
Metro will have additional security and staff located throughout the system to assist passengers.
