As we enter October there are plenty of fun fall events and spooky activities in the St. Louis area to attend, and Metro is here to get you there.

Check out the roundup of local events below, and download the Transit app to help you plan your trip, track your ride and pay your fare.

Several MetroBus routes will be detoured during the special events due to street closures but we will get you as close as we can to the event venue.

Oktoberfest Cruise at the Gateway Arch Riverboats – 10/09 and 10/23

It’s the most wonderful time for a beer! Celebrate everyone’s favorite German holiday and have a few pints along the way on this family-friendly cruise. Feast on a full buffet of authentic German dishes, crack open your favorite beer from the cash bar and dance to the sounds of a German folk band. It’s a floating celebration the whole family will love. Prost! Cash bar available.

Frights & Heights at the Gateway Arch – 10/15

The tallest monument in America will become the spookiest monument when the Gateway Arch transforms into a family-friendly Halloween party full of tricks and treats. Kids may want to bring some jokes (because that’s how St. Louis trick-or-treats) and we will supply gift bags for all to collect candy throughout the evening!

St. Louis River City HBCU Football Classic at the Dome at the America’s Center – 10/16

The St. Louis River City HBCU Football Classic is coming to The Dome at America’s Center on October 16, 3 p.m. A special occasion for family, friends and community members to enjoy together, the one-day event features a game between the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Alabama A&M University.

St. Louis’ most legendary Halloween street party returns to the Central West End on Saturday, October 29! Festivities kick off with fun daytime activities for the whole family. Then, as the sun sets, the party continues with an adults-only bash and costume contest, known for its elaborate, complex, and outrageous costumes and featuring $6,000 in cash and prizes.
