As we enter December there are plenty of holiday events and activities in the St. Louis area to attend, and Metro is here to get you there.

Merry on the Metro – Various Dates and Locations

  • December will feature a month of merriment on Metro Transit thanks to our partners at Citizens for Modern Transit and the St. Clair County Transit District. Listen to carolers at various transit centers, participate in our ugly sweater contest, find hidden transit gift boxes on Metro vehicles, catch a Santa sighting at Emerson Park Transit Center, and more this holiday season with Merry on Metro.   • Visit Steinberg Skating Rink in Forest Park this December to ice skate or try their new bumper cars on ice.

Joy Winter Wonderland at Union Station – 12/1-12/24 from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 12 to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday

  • The Joy Winter Wonderland is open to the public on the Purina Performance Plaza. Guests will find games, craft stations, retail and a unique photo opportunity with Santa Claus. They will also welcome some of St. Louis’ favorite vendors and enjoy festive food and beverage offerings!

  • The Gateway Dirt Nationals is the only indoor stock car race featuring Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Late Models, and Midgets. The 6th annual event takes place in December at the Dome at America’s Center in Downtown St. Louis Missouri.

  • The beloved TV classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer soars off the screen and onto the stage this holiday season. Come see all of your favorite characters from the special including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph, as they come to life in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer the Musical.
