Return to Blog

Need a fun, festive activity to brighten the mood?

Avoid traffic and parking woes and take Metro to these holiday light displays around the area.

Anheuser-Busch Brewery Lights

The light display at the famed brewery features more than a half-million lights on buildings scattered through the campus. Follow along on a self-guided walking tour and enjoy a variety of activities, including beer sampling for adults. This year, grab the ice skates and skate under the red glow of the iconic “Budweiser” sign on the Bevo Packaging Plant. The rink is open to guests of all ages, with hot cocoa and kettle corn available for purchase.

Transit Options: #30 Soulard, #20 S. Broadway

Garden Glow

See millions of lights shine up on the Climatron, Kaeser Memorial Maze, Central Axis, Tower Grove House and other iconic locations inside the Missouri Botanical Garden. There are interactive photo opportunities, traditional holiday music and festivities, and food and drinks are also available.

Transit Options: #14 Botanical Garden, #8 Bates-Morganford, #80 Park-Shaw, #95 Kingshighway

Wild Lights

Take a walk on the wild side during the U.S. Bank Wild Lights at the Saint Louis Zoo. Check out light displays of penguins, butterflies, prairie dogs and more, along with all types of holiday activities like storytelling, performances and crafts.

Transit Options: #90 Hampton

Candy Cane Lane

Check out the most festive block in south St. Louis (a few blocks from Ted Drewes off Chippewa). This street is a tunnel of lights, festive fixtures and holiday spirit home after home. Don’t forget to check out other nearby neighborhood blocks while you’re there.
