Welcome to St. Louis for the 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championships! Getting around the city is easy, affordable, and stress-free with Metro Transit. Whether you’re flying into St. Louis Lambert International Airport, staying at one of the region’s top hotels, or heading to the Enterprise Center for the championship finale, MetroLink is your best way to travel.

The excitement begins January 5–6, 2026 with novice and junior skating competitions at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, followed by the finals at the Enterprise Center January 7–10, 2026. This championship is the final qualifier for the U.S. Olympic Team heading to the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, so you won’t want to miss a moment!

The MetroLink light-rail system is the best option for traveling between St. Louis Lambert International Airport and conferences and hotels in downtown St. Louis. How to Ride

With your Metro Weekly Pass or Daily Pass, you can take unlimited rides on MetroLink and MetroBus for as long as the pass is valid. MetroLink is easy to ride:

  • Check the schedule and head to the MetroLink station.
  • Purchase your ticket by using the Transit app for digital fare or visit a ticket vending machine present at every MetroLink station.
  • Make sure you are going in the right direction. Trains travel eastbound and westbound. Check the signs at the station to ensure you’re at the correct platform and board the correct train.
  • Find a seat. Priority seating is available at the front seat of each train car for customers in mobility devices or who need more time exiting the train.
  • Stay alert. Pay attention as the train travels and listen for operator announcements so you get to the correct stop.
  • Have your transit pass ready. Show your pass to one of our Transit Security Specialists or Fare Inspectors if asked.
  • Enjoy your ride!

Safety

Metro Transit employs a comprehensive security program to ensure customers and Metro Transit team members enjoy safe and comfortable transportation throughout the St. Louis region. This includes:

  • Active patrols throughout the MetroLink system from Transit Security Specialists and uniformed Law Enforcement Officers.
  • More than 1,600 real-time surveillance cameras monitored 24/7 at Metro Transit’s Real Time Camera Center.
  • Secure gated platforms with posted guards at most MetroLink stations. You must present your transit pass to access the platform.

Accessibility

Metro Transit is committed to providing accessible transportation for all of our customers. All MetroLink trains, platforms and stations are ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible.

  • Priority seating is available at the front seat of each train car for customers with mobility devices or who may need more time exiting the train. Fold the seat up if you need space for a mobility device, and press the black strip to alert the operator that you need more time to exit the train.
  • System announcements at MetroLink stations are both audio and visual.
  • Operators make audio announcements on upcoming stations and bus connections.

Visitors from out of town, who are certified ADA Paratransit eligible by another transit provider, or provide necessary documentation of disability that prevents independent use of MetroBus and MetroLink, may qualify for visitor status and use ADA Paratransit service for up to 21 days in a calendar year.
