How to Ride

With your Metro Weekly Pass or Daily Pass, you can take unlimited rides on MetroLink and MetroBus for as long as the pass is valid. MetroLink is easy to ride:

  • Check the schedule and head to the MetroLink station.
  • Make sure you are going in the right direction. Trains travel eastbound and westbound. Check the signs at the station to ensure you’re at the correct platform and board the correct train.
  • Find a seat. Priority seating is available at the front seat of each train car for customers in mobility devices or who need more time exiting the train.
  • Stay alert. Pay attention as the train travels and listen for operator announcements so you get to the correct stop.
  • Have your transit pass ready. Show your pass to one of our Transit Security Specialists or Fare Inspectors if asked.
  • Enjoy your ride!

Safety

Metro Transit employs a comprehensive security program to ensure customers and Metro Transit team members enjoy safe and comfortable transportation throughout the St. Louis region. This includes:

  • Active patrols throughout the MetroLink system from Transit Security Specialists and uniformed Law Enforcement Officers.
  • More than 1,600 real-time surveillance cameras monitored 24/7 at Metro Transit’s Real Time Camera Center.
  • Secured, gated platforms with posted guards at most MetroLink stations, must present your transit pass to access the platform.

If you have any concerns, contact Metro Transit Public Safety at any time:
