Today’s photo shows a car rolling southbound on 18th Street at Clark in 1951. This is, of course, the location of the current Union Station MetroLink Station.
Excitement is building for the upcoming opening (this winter) of the St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station. That combined with a 200-foot observation wheel and possible MLS soccer stadium should make this grand landmark a legit national tourist destination, all easily accessible via MetroLink!

This is an 81 PARK streetcar. The streetcar tracks are separated approaching the 18th street viaduct over the railroad tracks. The streetcar tracks were in the curb lane on the viaduct just like they were on the Grand Avenue Viaduct
