No MetroLink Service Between CWE and Union Station MetroLink Stations June 17 & 18

Return to Blog

A MetroLink train stopped at the Cortex MetroLink station.

MetroLink will not operate between the Central West End Station and the Union Station MetroLink Station on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and June 18, in order to accommodate maintenance work on the light rail system.

MetroLink Station Shuttles will transport customers by bus during the planned service disruption. The bus shuttles will operate between the Central West End, Grand, Union Station, and Civic Center MetroLink Stations. Transit customers who need to travel through this area should plan ahead and allow an additional 20 minutes for their weekend commutes.

Westbound riders are encouraged to exit the train at the Civic Center Station to catch the bus shuttles to the Grand, and Central West End Stations. Riders traveling to the Cortex MetroLink Station can board an eastbound MetroLink train at Central West End Station to reach the Cortex Station. Westbound customers whose destination is Union Station should remain on the train at Civic Center and exit the train upon arrival at Union Station.

MetroLink will operate single-car trains on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18. Trains operating outside of the affected area will provide regularly scheduled weekend service, with trains operating every 20 minutes. Regular MetroLink service is scheduled to resume at the beginning of service on Monday, June 19.

Transit customers who have questions or need assistance should contact Metro Transit Information, available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 314.231.2345 (phone) or 314.207.9786 (text).
