RIDE ON to Arts and Music this WeekendReturn to Blog
Are you ready to rock out this weekend with some of the biggest names in music? Or check out the work of nearly 200 national and local artists? With Guns N’ Roses playing at Busch Stadium on Saturday, the St. Louis Art Fair in Clayton, and the Music at the Intersection festival happening all weekend, St. Louis is the place to be for art and music lovers. The best part is, you can skip the traffic and parking hassles by taking Metro Transit.
Metro makes it easy to enjoy Guns N’ Roses with the Stadium MetroLink Station located right across the street from Busch Stadium. There are 21 free Park-Ride lots at MetroLink stations in Missouri and Illinois. MetroLink will operate on a weekend schedule with both Red Line and Blue Line service at Stadium Station, with trains arriving and departing every 10 minutes. Please plan accordingly so you do not miss the last MetroLink trains of the evening:
- Eastbound to Shiloh-Scott: 11:48 p.m.
- Eastbound to Fairview Heights: 12:28 a.m.
- Westbound to Shrewsbury: 11:53 p.m.
- Westbound to Lambert Airport: 12:04 a.m.
This two-day music festival takes place in the Grand Center Arts District and features local and national artists. The Grand MetroLink Station is less than a 10-minute walk from the main stage. MetroBus is also a great option, with the #70 Grand, #10 Gravois-Lindell, #94 Page and #97 Delmar MetroBus routes all having stops near the festival. The festival runs from noon to 11 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, so choose which day works best for you and enjoy the show.
From colorful paintings to intricate sculptures, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the St. Louis Art Fair in Clayton, now in its 30th year. If you’re worried about navigating through traffic and searching for parking, don’t let that stop you from attending this incredible event. Instead, consider using Metro Transit to get there. The Clayton MetroLink Station is less than a 5-minute walk from the action.
